I don't get the 5 year contract he did not want to sign. Is this common even for established band as Chicago was? He said he was forced out because of this and is obviously still bitter about it. Is Seraphine or Champlin playing? Anyone have a list who the award is being present to? all past and present members?

so sad my tops 3 reunions even just for one night is Foreigners Gramm and Jones. got that! Perry/Schon Got that in 1997 and at the walk HOF Cetera and the living member of Chicago. : ( Yeah suck it up Cetera, love ya, you play these songs night after night. Give the fans that made you a success a small reward. At the very very least show up and accept the reward along side the ban

while elephante did a good job singing for Kansas, and I wish he would be the new singer (even though platt is doing a good enough job) there is no way remotely elphantes live version (or recorded version) can be compared with Walsh.

he does sound great. cant believe the tonight show had a hair band on it w Carson. Alias and Curci would have been a household name if they hit it in the 80s. 1991 was a bad year for hair bands, especially ones that released ballads.

Journey 1982, as the #1 american rock band opening for The Rolling Stones. Must have been a great paycheck for all considered, but this was a big mistake.

Now that Dahme is gone I just might have to see them live. The new lady's voice is great and does a great version of Surrender, and I sure hope she NEVER sings that country song of Dahmes

Will this even sound like Kansas w/o Walsh/Livgren writing? 99% of Kansas songs were written by them. Hope it sounds good, but, I think it wil sound more like a Seventh Key album, which is not all that bad.

Ever buy an album for the "hit" song only to find the album sounded nothing it? Saga-Worlds Apart - On the loose is a great AOR song, the rest sounds almost New Wave. Touch - Touch Nothing comes close to the rock of Don't you Know where love is Journey - Raised on Radio (Be Good to yourself was pure AOR) The rest sounds like it could b B-Sides off Street Talk (except for WCTNGOF)

A much improvement to Agent Provactuer. Love most everything there cept for the title track. Face to Face is a hidden gem and I can never get sick of HTTS and Cant Wait. Say you will is a little poppy but liked it back in day. The ballad was pretty average but good. So glad they came back for MR Moonlight. And the HOF gig was awesome. They need to collaborate one more time.

If an original member who contributed significantly to the band rock on. But at some point when no one in the band that made it famous, get a new name and make your own success.

Perry nails it here every take. But at Kim Carnes expense, Lauper steals the next verse (The Bridge People).

Against the Wall - Steve Perry Still don't know if this is Pre ROR or Post, as Perry said he did not even listen to music 2 years after the ROR tour, but sang with Journey in 1991 and sounded like he did not sing in ages. If it was Pre ROR, 1985 ish, I don't know why it was not released except for label pressure to rejoin Journey. I do not buy the explaination that they did not hear a single.

never liked it the few times Kansas tried to go pop.(especially before Elefante) And usually it was a Walsh song that went that way.(It's You, ITAWLTMAM). But I suppose it was a minor hit, like Hold on. The odd thing Hold On was played extensively in the Midwest and I have never heard POTSW once on the radio. Did Robby ever play the Viloin in these guest appearances? OR sing lead?

He does a good enough job live. As does Arnel with Journey. The both have honed their craft in mimicry, but both lack the emotion of the song. Wont spend any money but if they play a free show nearby, maybe. Also, get "people of the southwind" off the set list, one of Kansas' worst songs.

Miss the old site for news. Maybe I am an old dog who doesn't do new tricks well. I guess it brought me here (noticeboard) more. But I thank Andrew for everything he does for this site, 15 years ago I thought rock was dead, Andrew proved me wrong.

Would be in my top 5 for sure, with the only song I skip is the search is over (IMO) one of their worst ballads. Everlasting, First Night, and especially my favorite survivor song I see you in everyone are 3 of thier bests.
