I caught Mike Tramp in Denver last night in front of a small, loyal crowd. Nice mix of White Lion and solo tracks. I got to the venue early and chatted with Mike for quite a while - he was charming and personable and told a lot of great stories. He told me he talks to Vito Bratta every few years and he's trying to get him to do an interview with him and Eddie Trunk just to settle the White Lion topic once and for all.

He also mentioned a Mike Tramp box set he released several years ago that contains the original version of the Pride CD before they went back into the studio and completely re-recorded it. Anyone know if some of those tracks are on YouTube? Would love to hear the differences between the two versions...

(Oh, for the record I asked Mike before the show if he would object to me recording a few videos and he said "Of course not!" We talked about social media and YouTube for a while and how it's commonplace these days. But I think his opinion was generally that the artist has to put on a good show and then you don't have to worry about the videos that pop up online.)
