I like Sting, particularly on Dream of the Blue Turtles and Ten Summoner's Tales. Last Ship is a concept album from a musical, and as such the songs change vocalists and follow the storyline. Like many film soundtracks, I suspect they work within the context of drama, but they aren't such a compelling listen with audio only. That said, there is a sort of pop song/single track titled "And Yet," that is probably the best song he's done in 10-15 years. It's got a very nice groove and some sneaky-good guitar work. Very, very catchy and it would belong on any "Best of Sting" compilation.
