I'm not sure I would say a massive leap in quality of remasters in the last five years, but I do share that opinion from the last 2-3 years. I think there has been a subtle shift in the "volume wars" where people are starting to master with reasonable dynamics again. That's partly why I'd love to eventually see Gary's amazing catalogue done again. The recent release of "Back In the Streets" for example, sounds pretty good to my ears.
