As much as I like Daughtry this to me is a total sell out due to record company pressure - Trying to be One Republic or Train - mainstream pop with rock elements. I can bare the change from Train as the last two albums are brilliant pop/rock (especially California 37) but I'm struggling to hear big hooks and memorable songs on this. I fear a lot of his fan base (especially rockers) will stay clear or lose interest and the new fans he's hoping to pull won't bother as it's done better by the aformentioned bands.
I can see loss of major record deal coming and then a back to basics album - I bet his band quietly hate this - they don't even play on it - How he can play this material live in concert with older tracks I'm not sure - will be interesting who (if) he tours with .........
Disappointed . . . . ..
