For me, the standout Ten ballads are:

The Loneliest Place in the World
Standing in Your Light
You're In My Heart
We Rule the Night
Wonderland (bit of a sleeper this one, but recently rediscovered it)
Silent Rain (up there with their best. Don Airey's keys are fantastic).

Funnily enough, I don't think the ballads on the last few albums have been especially strong, particularly when compared to the ones mentioned above.

Also worthy of a mention is:
The Night the Love Died (from Gary Hughes' Precious Ones)
(Originally a TEN track, I believe).

and

When Only Love Can East the Pain (bonus from the debut)
(if only it had another reprise of the chorus!)

But yeah, Gary's an amazing ballad-writer.

:-)

- Danny.
