It's certainly changed these past few years with so many great shops gone - Steves Sounds and Cheapos were favourites. But Selectadisc/Sister Rays and the other one down the road (Music and tape exchange?) are still good visits. I often get something in Selectadisc when I'm there and picked up Unruly Child's Waiting for the sun in M&TE last time.

Not s/h but give Fopp a visit too. Really good selection of new CDs with great bargains on some of the older stuff. I got Deep Purple's Made in Europe and Abandon CDs and Whitesnakes Early Years for just 3 quid each!

Even HMV are a bit more reasonable these days though to be honest I mostly get DVDs/BluRays from them.

Soho is still IMHO a cool place to visit and shop in. The Weatherspoons pub on Charing X road was the home of the Marquee 2 and has some memorabilia around to remind us of the good old days. Not as good as the original site which I fondly remember as the place where I saw my first ever live band - Iron Maiden! That converted me to a full blown rockhead....
