I'm sure the study can go further, looking at minor keys for soothing and major keys for perking up.

Even musical grammar can also be chosen to suit too :-

Plagal cadences probably soothe pensioners as they resemble church music

Teenagers these days mostly speak in imperfect cadences - they always go up at the end of a sentence

Avoid interrutped cadences though, they typically denote the arrival of the bogeyman in cartoons
