Just read your post Rab. I too was there that day and I believe Alan Dick was on my coach. I say believe because I remember sitting on the coach waiting to leave when the rumours of what had happened started flying. I remember someone from the bus company coming on to the bus and making some sort of statement as to what had happened. I don't think they knew who the guys were at the time and they were doing some sort of headcount. When the descriptions were read out, some guy behind me pointed to an empty seat and said "Isn't that the guy who was sitting there?" I don't know if it really was the guy although I did hear later that Alan didn't stay far from me so it's possible he was on my bus. I still think of that day from time to time. Although the gig was very enjoyable, the organisation was amateurish. I remember 100,000+ fans trying to exit through tiny gates in the pitch black at the end. I was so relieved to find my coach at the end.

Very nice post mate. RIP to both boys.

Jim
