...very much for your kind words:
"When I first came to the site I would not have listened to new country unless someone forced me to! - but since speaking to people like Don i have some glorious new CD's which are like a breath of fresh air."
...Would you mind my asking which albums you've picked up? Just curious. It's kind of bizarre for me to read a comment like this, because any time I have to go into our local CD outlet and spend my hard earned $ on new country music (which is on a fairly regular basis), I am always somewhat resentful. I feel as though there are hundreds of other albums that I would rather be spending my money on. So, although I have to buy the country stuff for our DJ service, I don't often buy it happily or even willingly. I don't get "fired up" about it. And yet, as I pointed out quite some time ago, there have been a few gems that have found their way into my collection in exactly this way. I guess the bottom line is, I'm not at all a huge fan of new country music, but some of it has snuck up on me and simply blown me out of the water. I like pleasant surprises like that, no matter what genre the music happens to come from. Cheers.
