The post-Lynch stuff is OK, but not great. The Dokken sound is there and Jon Levin's done an admirable job with all his guitar work, but the two issues that pop up consistently is less-than-stellar vocals (which is an old topic that I won't rehash) and, related to that, no standout tracks. I couldn't name a favorite tune or even recall song titles off of anything after the Erase the Slate album, and aside from a very favorable impression and multiple spins of the Lightning Strikes Again album, have ever listened to anything after one or two times. So, like I said before, I can't be too excited about anything that might come out from Don based on recent history, but he's done some great music (with and without Lynch) and I wish him nothing but the best. And, if some enjoyable music comes out of his current endeavors, then great.
