Sirenia - Perils of the Deep Blue

I bought this on the strength of the Fireworks review and couple of samples I heard. It is certainly powerful and has some strong moments on it but reviewer Dave Scott hang yer head in shame mate. It is absolutely littered with death grunts and growls. Ahhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!! This was never once mentioned in the review. I am very patient with music and can cut through many things, like weak vocals and poor production but these growls leave me cold. Why oh why artists feel the need to include them is just beyond me. Much like Epica, the music and lead female vocals are superb but I just feel these grunts totally ruin the overall product. Disgruntled Aspi Giraffe articulated on a previous post last year, what they add to the music and why they are used. Then as now I just do not agree. Horrible !!!!!
