Mitchell Johnson wouldn't make the top 6 pace bowlers - just a matter of getting them on the field....I also question their sports science given the injury rates off the scale. I don't know about the best attack in the world (as claimed by ex-coach Arthur) but Harris, Pattinson, Cummins, Bird, Siddle would have me worried if I was an England batsman.

The real key to Australia's performance is their total lack of consistent batsmen (ex-Clarke), selection, leadership and their fair share of tools (Watson, Warner)

Hopefully Lehmann can fix the leadership side of things and perhaps even the selection (he'll be main selector with Rod Marsh). The number of quality players that have missed out while we persist with inexperienced 20-20 specialists without a clue or first class record (Maxwell for one) is astonishing. The number of baggy greens handed out in the last few years is a disgrace.

The Aussies are no world beaters but they could have done much better with some decent selections and leadership.
