My take on Queensryche/Tate-sryche albums

I had been waiting to air any recent thoughts on the two QR bands until I could listen to the two albums. The rest was, I guess, pretty predictable - I loved the Torre-fronted album and will likely come back to it before too long. It was everything that I would expect from an album that was trying to go back to the orginial QR metal sound...and with a singer that sure does his best to sound like early Geoff Tate! As far as the Tate-fronted album, it's the same deal as before - some good songs at the front end, some songs that made me scratch my head and go "What the...", and the re-records were not good. In all, the Torre-fronted album is way superior for my ears, and I'm not likely returning to the Tate album anytime soon.
