TICKETS: With Friday now 95% SOLD out, there are a small quantity of tickets remaining for what is sure to be one of THE gigs of the year. HAREM SCAREM, DARE, W.E.T., WORK OF ART, EDEN’S CURSE and THE MAGNIFICENT all together on one stage on one night – it does not happen anywhere else. Firefest Friday is now approaching SELL OUT, so if you are intending to come along it is advisable to purchase your tickets NOW, as this show WILL sell out.
SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: Both days are now at almost 80% capacity, so with four and a half months still to go it looks like the house full signs will be going up outside FIREFEST once again. If you are intending to travel, it is advisable to purchase your tickets early as once they are gone, they are gone. With Firefest weekend fast approaching (is it really last December that we announced details of the line up!) we would once again ask that you please spread the word that the entire weekend is heading towards a SELL OUT and make sure that people are aware that tickets are vanishing.

Ticketing details can be found on the official web site under the TICKETS heading on the main menu.

The Magnificent open proceedings at 3.00pm Friday afternoon.

CURFEW: Nightly at 10.30pm

A full list of stage times per band will be announced closer to show time.

ACOUSTIC SHOWS: Please note there is a CHANGE OF VENUE for the Carl Dixon acoustic shows on both Friday and Saturday nights for those that are attending. Originally advertised for the Strathdon Hotel, these shows will NOT take place at the Strathdon with BOTH NIGHTS taking place downstairs in ROCK CITY, so just head downstairs from the main room where Mr Dixon will be waiting to entertain you! Well in actual fact because it is the 10th anniversary and it is cool, there will be TWO acoustic acts playing. We are delighted to announce that Steve Newman and Shaun Besant of NEWMAN will be treating you to some acoustic tunes immediately before Carl. Needless to say Newman fans will be ecstatic, but in fact we all are. Look out for some cool interpretations of Newman songs in a more organic form. Incidentally this will be the first time that Newman will have played live acoustically outside of a studio, so yet another first for both FIREFEST and NEWMAN.

HEAVEN’S EDGE have informed us that it will be the ORIGINAL LINE UP that finally makes it to European stage for the first time at Firefest. From time to time Heaven’s have gotten together mainly for charity benefits, but this will be the first time that Reg, Mark, Dave, George and Steve will kick ass as Heaven’s Edge just for the hell of it and giving the European fans the opportunity to finally rock with the band.
VON GROOVE: Plans are afoot for a BRAND NEW Von Groove album which according to Mladen and Mike SHOULD be available at Firefest before it is released anywhere else. All we have to say is – about time too!!
BRIGHTON ROCK: As you may already know some of our favourite Canadian rockers have recently recorded an awesome cover version of Kiss’ ‘Creatures of the Night’ for a charity project called A World with Heroes …check the link on their home page. Well it seems that Brighton have re discovered the love for recording with a brand new album currently being recorded and an autumn release planned. It may well be the first opportunity to get your hands on a copy at Firefest. All Gerry McGee had to say was “wait until you hear it. It’s kille!” well Gerry, we’ll take your word for it. It’s only been 22 years since Love Machine – another nominee for the “about time too” award.

Tune into the Steve Price Rock Show on ARFM ( this coming weekend on Saturday and Sunday (June 15th and 16th ) at 6pm GMT each day where Steve will be joined by Reg Wu of Heaven’s Edge and Johnny Ohlin of Nation for an in depth discussion on the bands respective histories, highs, lows , break ups and reformations. In fact save ARFM in your favourites or pre-programmed internet radios as Steve will be joined by ALL the bands playing FIREFEST 2013 over the coming weeks. You can also e mail Steve with your questions for any of the guys , or indeed send a request …
Please also be sure to check out our Band of the week section – basically you can catch up on videos and tracks by various bands appearing at Firefest, and especially those who will be appearing with Steve Price on ARFM each weekend. Great way to check out some bands that you may not be as familiar with as you would like!!

FIREFEST MERCHANDISE: There will be FIREFEST ladies and Gents t shirts available to purchase from September (so you can wear them at the show and not have to carry them about all day). We have two new absolutely superb designs for ladies and two new designs for gents, all four designed by Al Barrow (Magnum) in sizes S-XL in ladies and M-4XL in gents. Hoodies are also a distinct possibility as we have been asked for them constantly each year. Also there will be a ONE OFF 10TH anniversary t-shirt in VERY VERY limited quantities. Have you been to all 9 shows so far? Well you will want this to wear as a badge of honour, more details including designs in the near future.

FIREFEST MAGAZINE: Fireworks #58 will be out mid June and is the largest issue EVER, clocking in at a spider-pounding 112 pages! And comes complete with free CD. This issue sees interviews with the giants of classic rock, such as Deep Purple, Rush, Quo, Ritchie Blackmore, Black Star Riders and Queensryche along with many great bands from more recent times.
