No Tom--of course not. But early Queen was heavier rock and not anywhere near as varied as they became later on. The choruses in most ALL songs by The Darkness have that Queen layered vocal stamp. and Hawkins is a rather operatic singer with similarities to Mercury in that regard. The band is more a combo of Queen and AC/DC. A cool mix, IMO. They pull it off quite well and no one around these days could cop them. T
