Ha ha - just got it on right now. Been listening to this all week actually and agree with you 100%! I defy anyone not to tap their foot or bang their head to it.

I've actually been debating with myself about it's validity considering how derivative it is. My conclusion? They're not trying to reinvent the wheel and there's little validity in getting too pseudo intellectual about them, they're just trying to be a kick ass, full throttle, whiskey drinking, girl shagging, un PC rock and roll band. With that in mind, they couldn't be doing it any better!

I also think it's their best album yet. It doesn't feel as over thought and forced as their second record, and takes the aggression and full force of their debut and marries it to much stronger, more consistent songs.

The Def Leppard / AC/DC analogy is also spot on, as they've been saying that whilst making the record they wanted to add as much of the Mutt Lange factor as possible. All the backing vocals sound very early 80's DC / Lep to me.

Stanley Kubrick was hired to fake the moon landing, but due to his perfectionism he made them film it on location. On the moon.
