Garbage Cover Springsteen

I've always been a big fan of Garbage, but this cover just lacks something for me. I like the haunting piano intro, but the chorus just doesn't have the uplifting power and emotional wallop of Bruce's version - even though they certainly put a lot of energy into it and give it a slightly different spin. What do others think?

And yeah - I know, it's officially a Patti Smith song. That's only because Bruce had a rare moment of poor judgement and gave it away to her. It should have been on Darkness On The Edge Of Town for me, no question, and the live version on the box set - with the prolonged solos - is much more definitive than the version he released on The Promise.

Stanley Kubrick was hired to fake the moon landing, but due to his perfectionism he made them film it on location. On the moon.
