As far as re records go I don't usually care for them. I am 100% behind bands re recording there entire discography so they can profit from it as opposed to the labels. DDY with Mr Roboto and Steven Pearcy with R&R in the Wrestler as examples. But as far as listening goes they 99% fall short. I heard it put best on a podcast "there is only that one moment in time where all stars line up and the magic comes out". Then there is the 1% that really hits it because of the sound quality of the originals. Also some great songs can be refreshed and done slightly different and work. Stryper hits the mark making these songs sound fresh and true to the originals. One side note. On Spotify under singles they have a re record of Honestly. Love the re record as much as the original and a must listen!
