Collective Soul - Home is by far the best rock band with orchestra performance. The orchestra's parts were created for the peformance and were unique to this setting.

In most of the other settings I have heard the orchestra is just doubling other parts already created. That, to me, seems like a novelty. I want something new and creative.

Yes' Magnification had no keyboardist. The orchestra played the keyboard parts. THey did have a pianist for the piano parts.
