Probie, you can sit this one out.....

Frank Marino - Juggernaut

I remember his "You Got Livin'" track being included on a fantastic British compilation album from the early 80's called Axe Attack [well worth tracking down if you can find them both] and loving that....but apart from his playing the Port Vale Heavy Metal Holocaust festival [I didn't attend] I didn't really check out anything else by him.

But Juggernaut is fantastic. It's hard blues rock, basically. What was once called 'classic rock' but I'm really connecting with it for some reason. Yet again, it's a Canadian artist that hits the spot for these old ears.

I seem to recall him being almost written off as a Hendrix clone.....but I don't really get much Hendrix from Frank. Admittedly, he's no great singer but with this genre you can get away with being adequate far easier.

It's a great listen and still sounds good even now, which is testament to that era [it was released in 1982].

Any other fans of this album here?
