Regarding the airplane story: I used to work in the airline business and I know, that there are not several marshalls on every aircraft to deal with air rage issues. There is usually one on assorted flights, not known to the cabin staff. He will certainly not blow his "cover" to restrain a drunken passenger... So, that story is exaggerated at least.
