Kevin played those guitars way more than Gary did. He did without them for 30 years and apparently never mentioned them before that meeting.

Can't you read between the lines?

My guess is that Gary was feeling Kevin out about rejoining the band and didn't hear what he wanted to hear so he decided to call out Kevin on that guitar JUST BECAUSE he knew Kevin loved it. If Gary REALLY gave a damn about it, he would have asked for it way before 30 years.

I am a major Gary fan as I can tell you are also. I don't think you have the ability to see through bullshit like I do though. I have no idea what was actually said at that meeting other than what Kevin relayed; but just through that, it's obvious to me how that meeting went down. I guess it's a gift that I have...
