Bruce just came across to me as a capable fretboard player..no real individuality or spark, and his stage presence was that of an uncomfortable lanky tree..that just pointed at people every 30 seconds.

Sure, no doubt ANIMALIZE would have been better with some VV..apparently several VVI Invasion tracks were possibly for said album! Although his guitar playing is far beyond nuts on that record, there are some great songs. It was all about being OTT though, that was the plan..people seem to forget that. It was by design.
