I, like so many others on here can honestly say they were not around or way too young to "experience" Sabbath in their hey-day with Ozzy. When I first started listening to rock and metal around 81-82, I did not know who Sabbath was with Ozzy, Ozzy was Ozzy with Randy, and Sabbath was Dio later on.
Sure I have Sabbath albums with Ozzy, doesn't really move me the way Dio did or Tony Martin did in his brief stint with the band.
Remembering the "Reunion" Live album from a decade ago or so, was neat and the two newer tracks were "ok"...just no magic IMO.
Am I curious to see and hear Ozzy with Tony and Geezer on a full album - sure. Everybody is...will Rick Rubin capture the true essence of classic Sabbath - eh, maybe, maybe not...hard to say.
Is it a milestone for this band to reunite with Ozzy - I guess so. If RJD had not passed - this would have never happened with Ozzy - that much I can assure you of.
