Re: Why do so many bands record live stuff in Japan?

I wonder if, these days, live albums like Whitesnake's are recorded in Japan because of the legendary status of the classic albums that were captured there way back when. You hear that it was made in Japan and that almost makes it seem somehow more special. Kind of a reflected glory type thing.
