With SO many more bands out there vying for our attention,I find the percentage lies in favor of the'WAY overhyped'column. For instance,here in THe States-- most bands are hyped as having sO many different influences that you couldn't possibly even come close in figuring just WHAT they might sound like. And most times you don't WANT to know as it's more over-hyped garbage. It's like underground music has become the accepted norm of greatness over here. While some truely GREAT little act might go completely un-noticed or gets SO lost in the shuffle that you likely will never hear about them. Hype has always been a very over-rated subject. All we as fans can really do is search stuff out and listen (if posible-the great thing about the internet) so we can decipher thru all the crazy hype. T
