Can't totally agree on this,nutman. I think that there are great/good/so-so and bad albums in every/any era. There may be a drop-off in originality--pretty tough to be truely original anymore. Melrock has been around for 4 decades after all. tHat said,there are always going to be those standout releases that bowl us over with greatness? Original? nah,but STILL great listens all the way through. We all can name our recent favs here. T
