A legendary man in publishing once told me -
"every one can write a great song, many can write a hit...but only a selected few can write classics...and more than once"

Many of my favorite songs from old CLASSIC albums use these chords i mentioned...but with a really clever melody and lyric that gives the song depth and value...

Playing with Legends is a wonderful reminder of how AMAZING the song writing was back then...i get to study the best of Toto, Journey, Chicago etc and i get goose bumps every night on stage because the quality of song writing is so brilliant...

My whole point in my very first post was...we've come to (slowly) misstake decent songs for brilliance...because there is not enough top quality being released to bring challenge to the game...
