I'd have to agree. The songs on Eclipse were too indulgent and loaded down with "look at me" passages from Schon. I get that he wants to be seen as a shredder, but he has his solo records for that, IMO.

Revelation was better, but they still sounded like a band trying to sound like Journey, and not Journey themselves...if that makes any sense at all.
