Eric Martin Band - Sucker For A Pretty Face

What a belter this one is. I totally missed it at the time, although how I managed that is anyone's guess as I was all over the US pop rock scene at the time.
Listening to it now I'm struck by how 'Loverboy' it sounds in places. Less polished and more hard rock, but certainly Loverboy-esque in the writing structure and in Eric's delivery. But I'm also surprised by how good it is, for a debut album.
It's on a par with Rick Springfield, Bryan Adams and the aforementioned Loverboy release from the same time frame [1983]. I just love Eric's soulful delivery. Superb album.
What's the story with the band? How come they split so soon?
