For me SYP was the pinnacle of Waysted's all too brief career. (I even remember a certain ex Kerrang scribe calling it his album to watch out for in his column in The S*n).
I loved the earlier Waysted stuff too with Fin on vocals BUT always felt that his vocals limited what the band could do. I loved Vices on release (but like you Steve not listened to it ina long time) and I reckon thats the one album from their catalogue that sits comfortably alongside SYP in terms of the song style.
Remember seeing Waysted support Maiden on the Powerslave tour and it was close to seeing UFO as you could get (minus Mogg). Storming set and got the crowd nicely warmed up :)
