I think all this thread has proved is that some people in the US cannot understand why so many non US citizens are against legal gun ownership and on the other hand those in non (widespread) gun owning countries do not understand the fervour of seemingly sensible people defending mass gun ownership.

They say guns dont kill people, people kill people. Well if you take the gun out of that persons hand then the odds on living are better....
