The reason they choose Dunedin over Auckland was they did not think Vector could handle the amount of equipment Aerosmith where bringing over,the Promoters had assessed outdoor stadiums across the country before settling on Dunedin's roofed venue, because of the weather guarantees it offered, also the stadium can increase capacity to 40,000 by not having any seating on the pitch.
