A Foreigners Journey

I have posted this previously but it is well worth bringing up again. If you are a fan of either Foreigner or Journey, AFJ are certainly a band well work checking out. They played last night at the Holmfirth Picturedrome in front of an enthusiastic crowd of approximately 250-300 persons.

This was the third time that I have seen AFJ but the first with Matt Black on vocals. Now Matt might not have the appearance or vocal similarities of Steve Perry like, their previous vocalist, Jimi Anderson but he sure can sing! Also, this was the first time I'd seen them with phenomenal guitarist Alex Ward.

The whole band really do justice to the classics of both bands and really seem to enjoy performing. 22 songs for £14, in one of the best club venues in the country, is a bargain in these days of being continually ripped off by the big bands at the big venues.

The set-list comprised of:-

1. Head Games - Foreigner
2. Be Good To Yourself - Journey
3 . Double Vision - Foreigner
4 . Waiting For A Girl Like You - Foreigner
5 . That Was Yesterday - Foreigner
6 . Who's Crying Now - Journey
7 . Lights - Journey
8 . Wheel In The Sky - Journey
9 . Juke Box Hero - Foreigner
10 . Stone In Love - Journey
11 . Feels Like The First Time - Foreigner
12 . Faithfully - Journey
13 . Urgent - Foreigner
14 . Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' - Journey
15 . Hot Blooded - Foreigner
16 . Cold As Ice - Foreigner
17 . Dirty White Boy - Foreigner
18 . Anyway You Want It - Journey
19 . I Want To Know What Love Is - Foreigner
20 . Don't Stop Believin' - Journey

21 . Open Arms - Journey
22 . Separate Ways [Worlds Apart] - Journey

The cover of Foreigner's "Urgent" featuring Chris Backhouse on sxaophone is worth the admission price alone.
