What is so damn cool about anything released past the 80's are all the great influences that have remained in current (or post 80's) rock. some of it is arguably just as good if not better than the old stuff. it's a simple idea--take whart is already known and mold/shape it into somthing even better. I love all my old heritage mucic--played it to death back when. But I listen mostly to newer (past 20 years til now) stuff these days. Keeps me motivated/rejuvenated in the melrock scene. This all said, there are plenty of bands tha come a little TOO close to morphing their beloved favs. But when it's done with class, it's sublime,IMO. as The Who said..LONG LIVE ROCK!! :-) T
