I hated Zep when I was younger. It took me a while to fully appreciate them.

The problem I have with Zep is that they are, stylistically at least, like an over earnest Queen - in as much as they play whatever they feel like playing instead of bowing to demands [which can be problematic for a first time listener]....but they lack the sense of fun/mischief that Freddie and the boys had.

The very thing that endears Queen to so many probably turns off just as many with Zeppelin. Maybe?
