I don't buy all this low budget nonsense. Some great feature films have been made on meagre budgets, and it's actually inspired people to be much more creative and inventive with the little resources they have. It doesn't take much money to put a semi decent idea together. Look at Tainted Nation. I can't imagine they had loads of cash, but still knocked out something pretty cool. I'm not sure who was behind this video or what their background is, but if the person is skilled and imaginative enough, the budget doesn't matter. What these bands should be doing is searching Uni's for aspiring filmmakers who are young, hungry and will work for very little, if not for free. The band get a semi-decent video, the young filmmaker gets something for their showreel. Win win.
