Frankly, in terms of audio quality, I don't think I've ever heard a single remaster or deluxe issue that is so much better than the original to warrant a major rave or additional investment in. Perhaps one needs to have real high-end gear to discern the difference. My main motivation for deluxe versions is the extra songs usually added. From that perspective the addition of the original version of Evil Eye and live King Biscuit show to Holy Diver is great.

I've always thought the sound of Dio's first three albums was pretty spot on. DE was a definite decline in that respect despite having some great songs. I'd be interested in having a version that offered significant improvement over the original but have to admit am not gonna hold my breath for that....
