Streaming their catalogue on Spotify. Apparently the accountants showed them they would make more money if they did so since CD sales are on the decline. So I guess Metallica won the battle but Napster won the war? Honestly, it's about time. You can moan and groan all you want as an artist, complain that the record companies suck, etc. but it is the way to get your music to the masses in this day and age. Now if AC/DC and Led Zeppelin would wake up...
