I'll agree that there was just way too much extended soloing from SChon on Eclipse. It tends to bore the listener after a few extra bars. Look--we ALL know how great a player Mr. Schon is. He does NOT need to beat us over the head with his solos OR make Journey this 'heavier' style band (ala Eclipse). I need to relisten myself again soon, but I'm guessing I'll find the same semi-boring affair as when it came out. I thought I was going to love the cd,but it was just too overblown. And--the production was typical Shirley mudfest,as I recall. BTW-- I'll take that Soul Sirkus cd ANY day over Eclipse! Back to Revelations style next time,please.. T
