Like a lot of you guys, I couldn't get into Clarity either, despite so many longtime fans raving about it and saying its still their favorite. Plus like a lot of you guys, I really liked Chase This Light, while many elsewhere said it was too "poppy". I think it comes down to whether someone looks at music as entertainment or purely as art. Clarity was very original, so I can see how it would appeal more to the "serious" music fans that just want bands to be original. But original doesn't always mean good, and while their latter albums fit in more with the mainstream pop-rock thing, they just do it so well I can't help but be a fan.

I pretty much like Bleed American (got into them right after it came out), Futures, and Chase This Light equally. "The Middle" is still one of my all time favorite songs, just a perfect slice of power pop, though I do admit I got sick of hearing it everyday at the gym, at the time it came out lol Invented was a bit of a letdown, should have had more songs like that Yo Gabba Gabba one ;-) But it did have a few really good songs, including a couple I REALLY connected with due to where I was at in my life at the time (still am, I guess) - "Littlething" and "Invented". The latter reminds me of solo Butch Walker, in fact.
