They are from Ann Arbor Michigan. I have no idea why they were so well know in Maine, same thing with early 70's J. Geils Band.
I'd recommend their album "Yeah" followed by "School Punks". DO NOT PAY the amazon prices for these cds. cduniverse.com has all of their cds listed for under 10 bucks.
