Can't help but feel your being a bit rough on the guy. Its only a question based upon perhaps the / his perception of what appeared to happen back then. Lets be fair 1981 thru 83 JRNY were "it" in the USA and promotion was everywhere. There did feel as if there was a shift of gear back then, the record was different, the band looked and sounded different. ROR does have a unique vibe about it. Not better or worse..just different. Maybe the label/band weren't quite as behind it and not perhaps for any bad reason, just maybe they thought the band was big enough not to require such a push as previously. I don't know. But c'mon, its just a observations / question guys.
