If they filmed a group of BBC reporters on the deck of an aircraft carrier, all the planes would land upside down in the sea. I never really considered Dr Magnus Pike as a role model, but there you go.
Another unlikely role model these days is Arthur Scargill. Have you noticed how many people have exaggerated comb-overs, even when they aren't going bald ?
