Paralysis by over-analysis perhaps? I get where you're coming from in some ways but thought he came across ok and fairly relaxed and willing to join in with conversations over the random daft little items on the One Show the other night.
He can come across a bit cocky and self-important at times and yet also does loads to support charities and great causes giving millions away for the good of others so I'm not sure what's the most accurate perspective tbh.
When you get to his level of fame and influence it must get very hard to fully trust the motives or have genuine 'brotherhood' with many people I'd imagine. He's certainly stuck with Richie Sambora through loads of opportunities to easily say 'get lost' due to Sambora's numerous personal difficulties. I guess then JBJ at least either recognises how much BJ the brand needs Sambora or perhaps even more admirably does genuinely give a stuff about his band members and have a good bond with them after all?
Who knows? Who cares really as long as the band do the goods live and/or on albums? I hope he's a genuine good guy too but we can only speculate mainly based on little hunches here and there.
