Wasn't it the Donington gig when the band themselves thought that they'd finally won over the general UK fan base?

I remember having the piss taken out of me at school in 1981 for liking Judas Priest and Def Leppard......by the other heavy metal fans. Leppard were largely HATED in the UK until well into the late 80's.
