You need to let go of the archaic idea that getting radio airplay for melodic rock would rocket it back into the mainstream, because it won't. Aor/Melodic Rock had it's 15 minutes, just like music from the 50's, 60's, 70's and 90's had. I'm quite sure there will be a 90's Grunge website forum somewhere, where a few of the residents are saying that exact same as you. And they're as misguided as you are.
