Reckless Love are very much a niche band here in the UK, just like all other current melodic rock bands are. Rock and Metal has never been accepted by the mainstream over here, with it hardly ever being played on any of the national radio stations, and especially with AOR and 80's hard rock, as it's generally always been ridiculed by the mainstream. It's never been seen as cool. It's always been like that, and 20/25 years ago the only time you generally got to hear or see bands like Motley Crue/Ratt Queensryche/Tesla etc was on MTV's Headbangers Ball or the 2hr Friday Rock Show on BBC Radio 1. There were a few other regional weekly radio shows dedicated to rock music, but nothing on a huge scale. Even with the lack of radio play, the UK rock and metal scene has always thrived, just not with the type of music that this website primarily deals in.
