I too an 22 years old + 22 + 2. So I completely understand where you are coming from. I feel lucky to have grown up in the heyday of this type of music. The musicianship is more challenging generally speaking than other types of pop or rock. The vocals are way more diverse and powerful. When Journey, Foreigner, Styx, Boston and many others like them were in their prime, it was really something special to be a part of. My daughter likes alot of the bands I have played for her but she is your age and understandably wants to have people her own age define her generations music. Unfortunately, everything is just one big hodge podge now. Too many choices and most of them not good. There really isn't any new type of music that can define your generation. It's all been done before.
On the bright side though, your generation has WAY more technology than ours did! LOL We had no cell phones, computers, no motor boats, not a single luxury. Like Robinson Caruso. as primitive as can be...
